"Semester" Contributions

During the Fall 2008 semester I have been a member of the Outreach Team.  With this being my first semester on the team, a great part of my challenge has been to familiarize myself with the project and the members of the team.  I feel that I have been successful in learning about the AguaClara program through conversations with team members, asking specific questions, and paying attention to teach-ins.  In learning more about how the project operates, I have been able to get a better view of how I may fit into the picture and contribute to the success of the program.

Specific projects that I have contributed to within the outreach sub-team have been the design of an updated poster , the recording of footage for and helping to design a video for entrance into the 10^100 competition, writing an abstract for entrance into the IBE national conference, the creation of an Outreach Quiz to facilitate the assimilation of new members, and familiarizing myself with wiki so that I have been able to help keeping it updated and organized.  I also continue to contribute ideas and suggestions regarding potential future projects, proofread and provide input for other members' work, and help to maintain productive and efficient meetings.
