Fall 2016 Contributions
This semester I hope to learn the requirements of writing a research paper and then contribute to the StaRS filter team's research paper.
Mid-Semester Update: So far this semester I have used Fusion 360 to create our filter column. As the mathematical model evolves, new models are created and shown through various powerpoint animations and Fusion 360 figures (example of Constriction Model). Now I am working on creating a Matlab function that will allow us to find the time of failure as defined by the change in slope of effluent turbidity. This will allow the team to create a more accurate model.
Spring 2016 Contributions
I hope to learn various lab skills and help assess the abilities of the StaRS filtration system. These skills include Mathcad, ProCoDA, Microsoft Excel, and Matlab
