It's my first semester on AguaClara!

So far this semester the AFB team has been running through many ideas to get the reactors up and going. We've circumvented the clogging problem with the granules for now, and worked on running the reactors fairly constantly to characterize the steady-state treatment process through the reactors. To do this we had two single reactors set-up in with slightly different recycling configurations to see how that impacts the treatment (if at all). At that point in the semester we came to realize there was a lot we didn't know about the granules and biological treatment process in general, so we decided to take a step back from trying everything that came to mind and do a thorough literature search to get more information on the treatment process. I am excited to come back next semester and keep making things happen!

My personal goals are to keep learning a lots about about wastewater and to get some real data from  the reactors!
