The Sanjuan Fund (Fundacíon Sanjuan) supports the efforts of selected charities and educational institutions with respect to their programs that are aimed at assisting Hispanic communities to help themselves. The Sanjuan Fund invites those with an interest in Latin America to join its founders, Ken Brown '74 and Elizabeth Sanjuan, in supporting the valuable work being done both here and abroad on behalf of people in need.

The fund was named in honor of the Sanjuan family, whose members struggled to overcome the many disadvantages of coming to America as poor Cuban immigrants. The Sanjuans never forgot the challenges they faced, nor have they ignored the need to give back to help the thousands of others facing these same challenges today - whether here in the United States or in Latin America.

The Sanjuan Fund is proud to support several programs at the College of Engineering of Cornell University. In cooperation with the College of Engineering, and others, we have helped the AguaClara Project to begin to build village water treatment systems in Honduras using sustainable and affordable designs.
