Plans for the Future of the Website

In order to improve the overall design, appearance, usability, accuracy, and accessibility of our website, we have enumerated a set of specific goals for this semester.  Some of these objectives have been carried over from last semester:

  • Find a method in which the Wiki can be integrated into the public website so that they act as one unit
  • Translate the website into accurate, readable Spanish
  • Improve upon the website's appearance by refining it to be polished and professional--i.e., up to par with Cornell pages
  • Use the statistics available from Google Analytics (connected to the gmail account) to enhance the productivity of the site
  • Create pages on the public website that are focused solely on marketing and promoting AguaClara to corporate sponsors and affiliates
  • Stay connected with past team members by creating a web feature for exclusive access by AguaClara alumni
  • Convert diagrams and large informational pages into accessible form--e.g., pdf format for easy downloading

This list, although not exhaustive, outlines our preliminary goals for the time being.  We have limited the scope so that our public relations team can better focus on an in-depth attach plan for each goal.  Since it is operated through Google sites, the public website is limited in features.  However, it is continually under improvement, and it can be accessed here: Home Page.
