 Accomplishments

• met with Monroe briefly to determine set up of tube flocculator
• ran uniform baffle configuration
• determined equivalent dosage ratio relationship between PAC dose and alum dose
• performed experiments on the uniform baffle configuration
• organized pilot plant supplies
• attempted to set up tube flocculator with t to let out air pressure
• used peristaltic pump from sed tank to push water through tube settler
• determined that 4 mg/L may be the optimum alum dosage based on the PAC dosage
• performed experiments on the tapered baffle configuration

Issues

• air in tube settler issue with gravity and pump
• entering from connection?

Outcome

• need to play around more with tube settler.
• floc profile for floc tank
