1/4" OD tubing |
- 1/4" OD tubing is used as the tubing to and from the turbidimeters and pumps as well as connected to the tube settlers
- 6' long, 1/2" diameter PVC pipe is used to string the baffles together inside the Flocculation Tank
- Corrugated roofing material is used to fabricate the baffles
- Crack-Resistant Polyethylene Tubing (5/8" ID, 3/4" OD, 1/16" Wall Thickness) was used as a spacer between the baffles. Pieces were cut to size and then sliced lengthwise to snap over the PVC pipe between the baffles.
Useful Tools
- Tube cutter
- Utility knife
- Drill press (to cut holes in baffles)
- Band saw (to cut baffles. Works better than previously used circular saw. If using a circular saw however, put the saw blade on backwards to prevent the baffles from cracking)
