Publicity team:

Other projects:

Depending on how many people join it may be impossible to complete all of these tasks but the outreach team next  year can decide which ideas to prioritize:

  • Answers to FAQ
  • Brochures/ posters
  • Lesson plan for local schools... present about Honduras/water/aguaclara at local schools
  • Organize trips/events for people to present at Cornell Clubs/ Rotary Clubs/ Cornell events
  • Get CEE 255 listed for interdisciplinary courses for the fall
  • Consider possibility of becoming a student organization (link to Elena's notes)
  • Work on syllabus for interdisciplinary purposes
  • Maintain contact with organizations from both D.C. trips
  • AguaClara newsletter (monthly electronically sent to all contacts/ potential donors etc.)

Make the demo plant more visually appealing

  • Fact sheet (both for AguaClara Reps with answers to common questions and for the audience as well)
  • Ideas for how to make the demo plant more visually appealing???? (Paint?, Dye?)
  • A place for the clean water to go to once it leaves the demo plant
  • A before glass of dirty water and an after glass of clean water
  • Labels on the demo plant so people know what they are looking at.
  • Pictures of what the parts of the plant look like in real life next to the model so people can better understand the analogy (maybe this can be solved with the poster

Ideas for Business team:

  • Need to decide grants/ microfinance
  • Generic grant proposal with help from someone with grant writing experience or Microfinance proposal with help from someone with business experience
  • Better projections of global demand
  • Better generic public health statistics about the importance of water
  • Follow up on contacts made by Larry Harrington...lots of contacts so figure out a way to reach more of them
  • Learn more about microfinance specifically towards AguaClara
  • Contact Engineering firms/ Government Agencies about the potential for partnerships.
Follow-up with SEA and figure out a strategy that can work for both groups to keep them involved
  • No labels
