Varying Influent Turbidity

In order to determine where the point of use foam filtration unit can be used, and under what circumstances, it is important to consider the influent turbidities for which the filter will produce desirable results. Additionally, we must also consider the time the filter can run while still producing good results (this is especially important for high influent turbidities).

Previous work has been done using an influent turbidity of 5 NTU, so we assume that the filter will perform well for turbidities less than this. We plan to run a series of experiments increasing the inluent turbidity until the filter no longer produces desrirable results.
