Accomplishments

• Began to fill lengths of tubing used for FC with distilled water to determine whether advertised inner diameter is the actual diameter.

Metrics

• Initial testing suggests that the inner diameter is actually smaller than advertised

Outcomes

• Testing shows that ID is most likely smaller than advertised, but testing methods are iconsistant

Issues

• Currently sealing tube by melting plastic. This eliminates deformation caused by using a plug, but must be done after being filled with water to prevent vacuum. Need new method.
• Need to get different scale because current one does not have enough significant figures to give good estimate.
