Accomplishments

  •  Completed the UDF for analyzing the distribution of the energy dissipation rate
  • Changed the the top boundary condition of the flocculation tank to symmetry boundary and analyze the result

Metrics

  •  UDF script was written
  • Plot of the energy dissipation rate for symmetry boundary condition

 Outcomes

  •  Symmetric boundary condition eliminated the high energy dissipation rate at the top wall

Issues

  • Distribution plotted using UDF provides no insight into uniformity of energy dissipation rate
  • Better method is needed for analyzing the distribution
  • There is unknown problem about the Fluent compiler. It will give error even if the code is written correctly
  • No labels
