Accomplishments
- Completed the UDF for analyzing the distribution of the energy dissipation rate
- Changed the the top boundary condition of the flocculation tank to symmetry boundary and analyze the result
Metrics
- UDF script was written
- Plot of the energy dissipation rate for symmetry boundary condition
Outcomes
- Symmetric boundary condition eliminated the high energy dissipation rate at the top wall
Issues
- Distribution plotted using UDF provides no insight into uniformity of energy dissipation rate
- Better method is needed for analyzing the distribution
- There is unknown problem about the Fluent compiler. It will give error even if the code is written correctly
