  • Ran simulation for 5 turnings: h/b =2,5,10,15
  • Calculated performance parameters with modified UDF

  • Change of material from air to water has a great effect on the shape and size of the energy dissipation region

Issues

  • Predicted energy dissipation pattern was not consitent with what was hypothesized. Need to:
  • Change the boundary condition at the top of the flocculator to investigate the effect of no-slip boundary condition define at the water surface
  • Check the sensitivity of performance parameters to Reynolds number
