Group: Public Relations

My name is Andrew Kang. I am an Environmental Engineer in the School of Engineering at Cornell University. I am currently in my Junior year, but this is my first year on AguaClara.

As of Fall 2016, I am a member of AguaClara's Public Relation with my Research Advisor, Erika Axe. We are currently planning and collaborating with each other to set our responsibilities and tasks for this semester.  Some responsibilities include, organizing team events, organizing public events         (on Cornell Campus), contacting newsletters to spread awareness of AguaClara and its accomplishments, recruitment, organizing team clothing/ accessories, poster designs, fundraising, networking, and most importantly, a public representative for AguaClara. 

I am excited to start my first year on the team, especially under my RA Erika Axe, who has been very helpful with my transition into the team. She is very experienced in the Public Relations and I hope to learn a lot from Erika. Some ideas I can bring into AguaClara are organizing exciting public events to spread our name on campus that will help with recruitment, designing apparel, design new e-posters in Duffield, and organize team events. I hope to join a research group next semester to get some experience in the Lab portion of AguaClara.
