Accomplishments

• Added another turbidimeter to system and process control.
• Added a rapid mix coil to insure complete mixing of alum and clay before flocculation.
• Put flocculator vertical to facilitate removal of air bubbles.

Metrics

• Discussed height-dependence of water tank on head loss equations.

Outcomes

• Effluent turbidity meter functions properly.

Issues

• Need to raise temperature-controlled water tank.
• Operational challenges persist regarding unstable inffluent turbidity.
• Floc production is not fully developed.
