Working Group: Gracias Entry Tank

Accomplishments

• The focus of the CDC team has been shifted drastically. We are now working on the design for the entry tank of the Gracias plant, with all previous tasks being put on hold temporarily, and the two working groups being combined into one working group.
• Used headloss and orifice equations to determine what the height of water in the entry tank needs to be.

Metrics

• Determined the height of water in the entrance tank should be about 2.5 m.

Outcomes

• Need to meet sometime to use proper design team nomenclature in Mathcad file we created.
• Now that we understand the simple version of the design, we will attempt to develop a more efficient design using these concepts.

Issues

• Not all group members are up to speed on the current progress.
• Will meet with these members to discuss what we are working on.
