Suma wishlist from Sara & Tobi 10/14:
floor plans
* current second floor zones
- collaborative space
- dean's room
- main floor
* suggested new zones
- collaborative
- quiet collaborative (dean's room and part of main floor)
- quiet/individual study (main floor along windows)
* 3 zones still but four regions
- two regions for quiet collaborative
* Nick: how often would the furniture move between regions?
- not sure, but hopefully we would keep it static for at least the first academic year (2015-2016)
select a zone and then presented with a list of furniture (with images)
* number of furniture choices in each region?
- collaborative > 10
- the other three are ~ 10
Only second floor for now
* select initiative (space usage)
* list of floors (basement, first, second, third)
* only making changes to second
* select second floor, presented with floorpan
* 3 zones with 4 regions
* orientation?
- north pointing up (deans room at top)
* if we can have the map clickable, then a clickable legend would be the next best thing
* initiative -> 2nd floor -> furniture (this list would not change)
- activity
- participants
- computer usage
* actually, nix that, don't show furniture list separately, keep as is
- participants
- activity
- furniture usage
- computer usage
Additional features
* add a multiplier for the data that you're counting
- instead of clearing out entries when tapping count
- another possibility is to have a list of favorite activities
- Nick: or potentially you could display the 5,10 (more) most recent activities counted from the current session
* make sure the count is always visible on the screen
- right now stuck in the count button at the bottom of the screen
Big Touch ideas (Matt, Gabriel, Tom)
* interactive new bookshelf
- link to Amazon ?
* interactive gallery of rare books
- use Michael's new scanner
- don't envision people reading a book
* interactive student work showcase
- potential FERPA issues
* poster preview at Stone Ops desk
- now poster printing is
- don't need an interactive monitor to do this
* information kiosk/digital concierge
- as you walk in
- smartmap
- events
- it runs Windows 8, so there are apps that split up the screen into different sections
- maybe history of Mann Library with timeline
* workstation
- for Adobe CS
- or ArcGIS
* interactive gaming station
* pick a location and use it in different ways during different times of the day
