Printing
If prompted for your username when printing, format your NetID/GuestID as follows: cornell\<GuestID> OR cornell\<NetID>
- That's the lowercase word "cornell" followed by a backslash followed by your NetID or GuestID.
"Hold for Authentication" Printing Problem
If your job is not printing and the print queue is showing a status of "Hold for Authentication", this usually means that you incorrectly entered your username/password and saved that incorrectly entered username/password in the Mac KeyChain.
- Open the "Keychain Access" program in Applications - Utilities
- In the top left pane, select the "Login" keychain (this should be the default)
- In the bottom left pane, select "All Items" or "Passwords"
- In the search box on the top right, search for the name of the printer (eg cnf-prnt250lj)
- Right click or Control-click the item and choose "Delete"
- Delete your print job from the print queue
- Try printing again. You will be re-prompted for your username and password.
