Overview
Because of persistent threats leveraged against higher ed academic institutions, CNF and Cornell require a VPN connection to access many on-campus services. Cornell uses two differing VPN clients... Cisco Anyconnect for those with a Cornell NetID; FortiClient for those with a Cornell GuestID.
Updating
The FortiClient VPN software does not auto update. CNF will periodically send out communications when a new version is available, and users should update to the new version at that point.
Installing
Installation instructions are available on the IT@Cornell GuestID VPN webpage.
