Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Concord (antigenic formula 6,7:l,v:1,2) is a serovar of the O:7 (C1) serogroup.  This serovar has been isolated from found animal and produce sources.

Geography: Salmonella serovar Concord has been associated with illnesses in the United States and Ethiopia. Cases among children adopted from Ethiopia have also occurred in Spain, Denmark, and Belgium

Outbreaks:  Several outbreaks have been associated with serovar Concord.
