A number of universities offer undergraduate majors that prepare students for careers in food safety. Comparatively few universities offer designated studies in a "Food Safety" major; rather undergraduate training in food safety is typically offered within major in "Food Science", "Food Science and Technology, or  a major in "Food Science and Nutrition".
