Michael L. Goguen has been a managing partner at Sequoia Capital for over
16 years, where he focuses on infrastructure and technology investments. He
is a director of Cellworks, Click Security, Clickatell, Infoblox (BLOX), OpenDNS,
Quantenna, R2 Semiconductor, ThinkCash, Tula Technologies, Versa, vIPtela,
and Virident. Goguen led Sequoia's investments in Ardent (CSCO), Avanex
(AVNX), LitePoint (TER), LogLogic (TIBX), MaxComm (CSCO), Monterey Networks
(CSCO), Navini (CSCO), Netiverse (CSCO), NetScreen (JNPR), Pipelinks
(CSCO), Redback Networks (RBAK), Spatial Wireless (ALU), Springbank
(CacheFlow), Versatile (VTSS), VitalSigns (ALU), and Yago Systems (Cabletron).
Before joining Sequoia Capital in 1996, Goguen spent 10 years in various
engineering, research, and product management roles at DEC, SynOptics,
and Centillion and was a director of Engineering at Bay Networks (Nortel).
Goguen also served as a technical chairman of the ATM Forum. Goguen
holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
