John,

On June 18th,, there is a full-day IT Community Conference on campus to which may want to consider who in non-IT you might like to attend from Physics, if anyone. I'm referring this to you since under " Who should attend", they state:

Everyone in Cornell's IT and administrative communities is invited and encouraged to attend. The 2014 conference--keynote, panel and afternoon presentations--is designed to be of interest to both communities.

It's free. [...]

Notes

Move FileMakerPro files from Barry's server to the A&S server.

Q: Able to do sooner than later? (Since dependent on Barry's server.)

PhysIT to look over current files and develop a proposal for John.

Option 1: Move server to PhysIT, temporarily. Less disruption, less risk. Then migrate to A&S's FMPro server.
Option 2: Migrate to A&S's FMPro server.

Review "Opportunities for improvement". For example:
ID Finder, securing the network, computer upgrades, support of select systems and software in Nick's area.

On-going.

Although associated proposals and tasks are technically not required for migration from Barry, some task may warrant consideration or action earlier than later.
