Q. I'm looking an article entitled " Finite-element calculations on the behaviour of a DSC in temperature-modulated mode," that appeared in volume 310, number 1 of the February 1998 issue of the journal Thermochimica Acta. Unfortunately, the library's subscription ended in 1992. How can I get a copy of this article?
A.Any articles from journals not owned by the library can be ordered through the interlibrary loan department. Q. Why can't I access the Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan from home? It works on campus.
A. Send any problems you have connecting to online journals to engranswers@cornell.edu. We'll investigate promptly. In this case, we needed to forward the title to our subscription manager so they could add it to a special file called the "proxy table." After that was done you can access the journal from off-campus. Most of our journals are already in the proxy table.
