Spring 2014 Contributions
This semester, I am working on the design team, and our sub-team is focusing on Chemical Dose Controller modifications.
Our tasks include creating the Stock Tank functions, creating the Chlorine viscosity equations and updating the CDC drawing.
Fall 2013 Contributions
I, Chenxi Wen, is an MEng candidate in CEE, concentrating in Environmental and Water Resource Systems Engineering.This fall, I joined the Low Flow Stacked Rapid Sand Filtration team (LFSRSF), working with Alexandra Green, Sarah Sinclair, Lishan Zhu and Jeanette Liu.
I worked in the 12 in. diameter subteam, and contributed in designing and building the new 12 in. filter. I have helped designed the inlet and outlet piping, the spacers and the backwash waste pipe. I have used MathCAD and AutoCAD to deal with the design codes and draw the picture we needed. I have worked with my teammates to cut the filter, drill holes on the filter, join the filter, attach the inlet and outlet tanks to the filter, glue the couplings and adapters.
