According to Cornell policy 5.10, "Security of Electronic Information", all Cornell-owned computers must be scanned twice per year for confidential information. This information includes credit card numbers, social security numbers, and bank account numbers. It is each individual's responsibility to carry out scanning their computer(s) and cleaning the data. |
