With the centralization of IT services, there has been some confusion as to where to get support for various servers, software, and licenses. The original transition plan is attached here: ECE Computing Transition.pdf. There were some subsequent modifications:
- odin.ece.cornell.edu (ECE mail server) was deemed a research server since no staff had use of it. Thus, it was set as a transition system with ECE the primary and eventual migration to research support only.
- flex.ece.cornell.edu was determined to be research only as it only served research and research supported instructional systems.
Essentially, when in doubt, feel free to email me and I'll forward your email (or let you know to so you can track your request easier) if it's something covered by ITSG support.
