Under Construction

The following ANSYS tutorial is under construction.

Problem Specification

A steel bar is mounted in a rigid wall and axially loaded at the end by P=20kN. The bar thickness is t=10mm. Neglect gravity.

In this exercise, you are presented with the numerical solution to the above problem obtained using finite-element analysis (FEA). This solution has been obtained using ANSYS software. Compare the FEA results presented to you with the corresponding analytical solution. Justify agreements and discrepancies between the two approaches (FEA vs. Analytical).
