Dear CUL,

The Library Forum Career Development Committee is looking for volunteers for the NEW! CDC Mentoring Committee.

Term length: Between one and two years

Committee size: Two to five members

Time commitment: approximately 2-hours per week

DRAFT CHARGE

The CUL mentorship programs mission is to facilitate the development of high-quality, high-impact mentoring programs that address the most critical challenges facing library workers in an innovative combination of partnership and ongoing support.

The committee will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting mentors
  • Match mentors and mentee for both academic and staff based on individual needs and interest*
  • Monitor relationships to ensure mutual benefit
  • Schedule networking and learning events and
  • Annual assessment of overall program and review the charge
