1. From the main window select Search Z39.50 to open the Z39.50 search window. Do a
   search of the CUL catalog to see if the item has already been cataloged, and place a call
   number in the Item Call # field.
  

    Note: It's a good idea to search the CUL catalog to see if an item has already been added
to the library's collection, and if so use that call number for cataloging personal copies..

 a) If a record is not been created in Voyager it is also possible to get a call number
   from World-Cat.

b) Another option for call numbers is a standardized one developed by your library,
   for instance AEM1220.1, for the AEM 1220 Course packet.

   Note: It's a good idea to assign a call number at this time. It will save
time in the future as well as the macro for creating records looks that the
Item Call # field in Ares for a call number to use in Voyager.
