Student community

Hints

To assist in determining exactly what segments to request from HR or from the Registrar's Office it helps to gather as much explicit information as possible about who the target audience is.
Examples:
° People with jobs in the IT community who do Blackboard support.
° Students who subscribe to ResNet.
° Everyone who is a registered user of RedRover.
° Faculty who need technology training.
° Administrative people who manage department or college finances and need to understand CIT rates and fees.

Staff community

Staff can be grouped into a variety of categories by HR. See CPMM Communications Guide/Selected Staff for request procedure.

Common staff groups

__ All active employees, including or excluding temps, students, Extension employees, etc.)
__ All on-campus staff

Academic community

The academic community can be grouped by HR into professors only, the broader academic community, or by job titles like Extension Associate. See CPMM Communications Guide/Selected Staff for request procedure.
