Content is added to exhibit pages using "widgets". Each widget type provides different functionality, but there are four main categories:
- Text widgets:
- Text Widget: The default widget for an exhibit page and provides limited formatting (bold, italic, links). Each text widget can contain one paragraph of text.
- Heading Widget: Adds an h2 heading to an exhibit page.
- List Widget
- Quote Widget
- Horizontal line
- Horizontal Rule Widget: Adds a horizontal line to a page.
- externally hosted resources: Curators responsibility to ensure these resources are accessible (see: Accessibility for more guidance).
- exhibit resources:
- items
- browse categories
- browse group categories
- saved searches
- Pages Widget

How to format text
- Highlight text to use simple text formatter (heading, quote, bold, italics, link, unlink) in any text widgets or any widgets containing input area labeled "Text" (e.g. items widgets)
- Advanced options: use markdown: Markdown Guide: Basic Syntax
- Can format with markdown in any of the widget text boxes
Don't forget to Save changes at bottom of the page (sometimes way down if you're editing at the top)
