Fall 2016 Contributions

This fall I am a member of the prefab 1L/s subteam. Our semester goal is to construct a second 1L/s plant with a focus to streamline and improve production methods. We hope to research flocculator designs for the new plant and determine structural integrity without additional support in addition to its construction.

I have been a primary member in the setup and actions to fabricate the main sedimentation tank components, such as the cutting of the correct geometry for the 1L/s sed tank. A lot of work has had to go into the cuts, as initial errors led to an unacceptable first cut. Starting construction on the base plates we're hoping to establish a more concrete guide for creating and installing them.
