Fall 2016 Contributions
For this fall semester, I will be responsible for putting together the entire CSFBR upon completing all of the components such as the flocculator and the newly designed reactors. Furhter into the semester, I will be in charge of testing the reactor at different velocities. The purpose of this is to see how the positioning of the reactors would affect the flow. Since the overarching goal is to recreate this reactor without electricity, we will try positioning the reactors in such a way that the gravitational pull should be able to move everything through the reactors. Besides the projects that I will be leading, I will be working with Javier and Felix to design and build the new reactor such that we can observe the floc behavior within the reactors. Once the reactors are all set up we will be running tests to observe the characteristics and identify modifications that could be made. As the only returning AguaClara member on this subteam I will guide the new members through the onboarding process and help out with getting them acquainted with AguaClara.
