Sensor Development Team
The primary goals of this team are to develop a gas measurement sensor that can be used in AguaClara plants, as well as design and build a fluidized bed solids concentrator sensor.
The Sensor Development Team is a new team for the Fall 2016 semester. The team was created in response to the needs of the ASB and AFB teams. The primary goals of this team are to develop a gas measurement sensor that can be used in AguaClara plants, as well as design and build a fluidized bed solids concentrator sensor. This semester, we will finalize a method of gas measurement, program settings in PoCoDa to automate the systems, and build the next generation of the measurement system. We will then evaluate and troubleshoot the new system, with the possibility of designing a new system if improvement is needed. For the fluidized bed solids concentrator sensor, we will first run tests and take measurements of the photosensor output. Next, we will develop a method to correlate photosensor output to the existing intensity of fluidized solids.
