Design Team Tasks - March 23, 2009
Overall we need to restructure the team to have two people on AutoCAD and two on MathCAD I'll try and switch back and forth to help both teams as needed.
Please mark your name next to the team title to indicate which one you would like to be on. Also please mark your name next to the tasks you would feel comfortable with/would like to work on. I'll try to pick up the stuff that's left over. The time table is to try and have the first four autoCAD tasks by the end of this week. The smaller MathCAD tasks should also be completed by them. The flocculator fixes may take longer but are still a high priority.
MathCAD
(Adela & Reiko)
- MathCAD Automated Materials List (Adela)
- Fixing Small MathCAD code issues (Adela & Reiko)
- Switch programs that refernce nominal diameters to calculate areas, hopper drain, width to depth ratio for sed drain.
- Valve sizes: sludge drain, hopper drain?, floc drain (Adela)
- Flocculator design, after you figure out how many baffles that are ideal for a channel, figure out how many actually fit and put them in uniformly. Ports that go under the walls? Do the engineers care? That affects how the tank is drained (Reiko)
- Floc Drain Algorithm (Reiko)
AutoCAD
(Heather R, Sara & Heather H)
- Update Code with MathCAD variable Changes (could be a task spilt between people taking the programs below). (Heather R & Heather H)
- Check and Debug Flocculator Program(Heather R)
- Check and Debug Entrance Tank Program (Heather H)
- Debug basic Sed tank program (just the outer tank walls (exclude the inner pieces)(Sara)
- Scripts to Draw Drain Valves
Later Tasks
- Stream Line Sed tank code into modules
- Change pipe Drains into Channel Drains
- Change Drop pipe chimmmeys connecting inlet channel to sed manifolds to rectanglular channels
- Adjust the sed bays program to build dividing walls and be accurate
Tasks From Honduras
- Drain to have minimum dimension of 12cm (OD 4" pipe = 12cm)
- Exit pipe that connects to valve needs to fit under the drain plate
- 3" gate valves are used in Honduras
- Check that 3" or 4" pipe will fit without alteration under the drain
- Count number of Valves needed
- Walls between bays are 15cm thick
- Send drawing of new drain cover
- Floc Ports are cut in the tops of the channel dividing walls
- Lamella Pipe Frame Table 1.5" pipe sitting on ledge, possible concrete frame instead
- Thickness of floc baffles: 4cm
- Baffle dimensions/area needed to determine thickness (sent to Tamar)
- For Gracias:
- AutoCAD drawings for all 3 designs--concrete layout OK
- Chemical Storage Tank Dimensions
- For Altima:
- Send out Design
- Complete Design for Alquteca (same as 4 communities)
- Automated Excel Spreadsheet of Plant Details
