I am a new member of AguaClara and have joined am working with the sensor development teamsubteam, which is also new to the fall semester of 2016. The primary goals of this team are to develop a gas measurement sensor that can be used in AguaClara plants, as well as design and build a fluidized bed solids concentrator sensor. This semester, we will finalize a method of gas measurement, program settings in PoCoDa to automate the systems, and build the next generation of the measurement system. We will then evaluate and troubleshoot the new system, with the possibility of designing a new system if improvement is needed. For the fluidized bed solids concentrator sensor, we will first run tests and take measurements of the photosensor output. Next, we will develop a method to correlate photosensor output to the existing intensity of fluidized solids. My personal goals are to contribute to the team as much as I can, and to enjoy my first semester on AguaClara!
