Cornell Employee Celebration Day was SaturdayFriday, January 17October 2, 2015. Library HR distributed 100 complimentary tickets to library employees and their families.
Cornell University Library Employee Service Awards - An annual event held to recognize dedicated service of Library staff members.
CUL Innovation Award for Library Staff - Established in 2014, this $500 award targets recognizes innovation throughout the CUL system in all functional areas and departments. Innovations can be in the form of service enhancements, problem solving, or a whole new way of looking at things. The winner(s) of this award will have exhibited creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and leadership in conceiving and implementing the innovation. Although the innovation can include IT development, having an IT component is not a requirement. The recipient(s) for 2015 will be announced at the CUL recognition breakfast on June 16, 2015.
CUL Outstanding Performance Award for Library Staff - Through the generosity of Christian Boissonnas (retired Library Department Head) and his family, we have been able to establish an endowment for an annual CUL Outstanding Performance Award. The award of up to $1,000 may be in the form of cash, or financial support for professional travel or training opportunities. The recipient(s) for 2015 will be announced at the CUL recognition breakfast on June 16, 2015.
The STAR Award - This award provides an opportunity to recognize our colleague's work and commitment to excellence in the Library. Each nominee receives a mini prize for their efforts and accomplishments, and all nominees are entered into a quarterly drawing for a gift from Library HR.

CUL Recognition Program - This program was created by Library Human Resources to give CUL managers and supervisors the tools they need to effectively recognize and reward the accomplishments of their staff. There are also other Cornell opportunities to celebrate staff throughout the year.
