In her role as physics librarian of TIB, Esther Tobschall is concerned with providing physicists in Germany with the information resources they need for their research. Thus, Esther is involved in Open Access activities of TIB like the SCOAP3 project. During the last two years she has coordinated the arXiv-DH project (funded by the German Research Foundation), and is now representing TIB as the national arXiv contact point within network arXiv-DH. Prior to entering librarianship she studied chemistry and gained her doctorate at University of Hannover with research in solid state Martin Köhler is Head of Library and Documentation at DESY, representing the Helmholtz Association in the arXiv-DH and HGF consortium. DESY Library and Documentation is part of INSPIRE, the high-energy physics literature database and actively involved in Open Access activities as SCOAP³, where he participated in the Steering committee. He studied physics and gained his doctorate at University of Hamburg in theoretical physics.
