I am a sophomore in the College of Engineering. I am on the majoring in Chemical Engineering, and I plan to concentrate in Sustainable Energy. This is my second semester on AguaClara's Chemical Dose Controller team as a sophomore Chemical Engineer. This semester, the team plans to revamp the CDC process through collaboration with other groups and experimentation with new design proposals. Last semester, the team worked on the CDC set up manual as well as coming up with new design iterations of the Constant Head Tank. Toward the end of the Fall 2014 semester, the team began testing the system's headloss. This semester, I will continue testing for headloss and flow rate, but now I will vary the design iterations of system. Also, I will analyze the CDC setup in Honduras and compare the results with the results from the process in Cornell's lab. Finally, I will establish calibration columns for the system.
