Discussion of what is meant by "middle“middle-out" out” approach. Is this how we should we be describing 2CUL TSI to others at ALA, etc. Should this language be included in updates/correspondence from TSI? Is the assessment of cultural integration going to be middle-out or top down? It seems like it will be coming from the Admin team (top-down); but the idea is that the draft survey will come through TSI for review. Various assessments will be taking place. Cornell will be doing ClimateQUAL in the fall. Pages 9-11 of the Mellon Grant (also pages 3-4 of the TSI Project Description) have language about organizational assessment.
Action item: At next week's week’s meeting TSI will further discuss cultural assessment and 2CUL culture.
