Next, we need to specify the magnitude of the force. We want the 100 lb force to point in the negative y-direction. To do this, we need to select Define By > Components, then specify the Y Component of the force to be -100 lbs.

Now that the force has been applied to the bike crank, we need to fix a part of the bar. To accomplish this task, select *Static Structural > Supports > Fixed Support. Select the inside face of the other hole just like we selected the geometry for the force and click Geometry > Apply. The simulation is now ready to solve.
