As part of the Fall 2008 project work AguaClara is working on designing a water treatment plant with shallower tanks. The full scale pilot facility for this new design will be built in Cuatro Comunidades: Los Bayos, Rio Frio, Aldea Bonito and Las Jaguas. Construction is expected to be complete by March 2009. This project is now funded! The community, Cuatro Comunidades, funded in part by CESAL, Alianza para el Agua some private donations, and of course the community! Cuatro Comunidades has committed to contributing approximately $9,000 toward the project in local materials and construction work.
