8/19/14: Frank, Dani, and Tu spoke via 15 minute phone call with Oliver regarding his thoughts on the project.

  • We reviewed clone of FMPro data fields.
  • Discussed likely write-option for web app: None. All access would be read-only.
  • New Web app would be analogous to Grades DB where source data maintained in FMPro DB, by Student Services. And viewing would be similar, too (student/ faculty/ staff views and with proper authority).
  • In Web app, there would be no need for business logic since even the results of addition calculations would all be taken "as is" from source DB.

4/7/14: Oliver shared needs with MichaelL and FrankS. Decisions:

  • Mid-summer 2014: A&S IT will start a discovery (scoping) conversation with CCB Student Services staff.
    • Please invite Oliver to this first meeting. Thank you!
  • Depending on the actual scope of the project, and A&S IT staff availability, aim to complete project by ~Dec 2014.
  • Frank to get a clone of the FileMakerPro DB.
    • Oliver arranged for Sam to send that to Frank.
