My role on the Prefab 1 L/s Plant team is to select the best materials and fabrication methods available for assembling a portable AguaClara water treatment plant. Through CEE 4540 coursework in the Fall of 2015, I helped finalize the design of this plant’s sedimentation tank . My team will be constructing a model of that tank this semester, as well as a model of the plant's flocculatorand all of its components (including plate settlers, base plates, the jet reverser, and jet diffusers). I helped create a numbered list and budget for the materials required to assemble a prototype for a 1 L/s sedimentation tank, organized the orders for those materials, and contributed to the plastic welding process to assemble the tank. Based on the information we gather gathered while assembling those the components of the plant, we'll write tank, I wrote a thorough guide outlining how to assemble all components of the full-scale plant. Step-by-step instructions, drawings, and photos will were be included.
