Physics Setup

Launch fluent by double clicking the Solution Cell on the new Sliding mesh project (select double precision. This is gonna be a heavy simulation, so it is a good idea to select parallel. But note that overhead in parallel actually slows down the simulation, as the communication between the cores starts to become slow compared to the time they take to calculate. For here simulation 2-3 cores are enough.)

titleText summary of the above video
  • Open Fluent from Solution
  • If the Mesh Interfaces are gone, recreate them the same was done in Part 1
  • Check that the Boundary Conditions were correctly copied
  • Under "General", change the Solver to Transient.
  • Under Cell-Zone Conditions...
    • Highlight "inner". Click Edit. Copy to Mesh Motion. Check that everything has been transfered
    • Do the same thing for the other 3 blades
