Spring 2011 Mid-Semester Contributions

I am one of three members of the new Structures sub-team. My primary responsibilities are focused on the design of the sedimentation and flocculation tank walls. I am currently working to integrate a set of tables from a text into our Mathcad document. I am also the primary correspondent between our team and the Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering at the University of Buffalo. I have acquired values for peak ground accelerations for all of Central America, and intend to utilize this data in the near future. I recently acquired a Mathcad file from Heather Reed from her Concrete Design project. This should greatly facilitate the creation of our own Mathcad file, since I am new to the software. I have also set up the Structures team research page and worked with my teammates to prepare for our first Teach-In. The pace of the project is definitely picking up, and I am excited to see what we will accomplish.
