- Will will try to reconcile his two work-related "Documents" directories since they are (on on iMac, one on MacBook) since there is a 13GB difference in size (see table, above). One directory is visible from his iMac, and the other is visible, obviously, on his MacBook.
- Will will then move all his Documents directory files to the CIT file server so none remain on the Mac server.
Once this is down, Will's primary (non-Dropbox) work documents are no longer on the Mac server for either the iMac or the MacBook. Instead, those files are on the CIT server.

Step 2: Upgrade desktop iMac
Timing: When Will is away this Thur/ Fri (8/15-16).
Leave iMac in Will's office, but ensure Will has logged into it the iMac so ChemIT staff can "see" what he sees under his account.
- This allows ChemIT to grab any preferences on the Mac server, such as browser bookmarks and the like.
ChemIT then upgrades iMac with clean (and current) OS, 10.8.
- A "clean slate" removes any connection to Mac server.
- Enable access to CIT file server and ChronoSync.
- Enable's NetID/p/w access to iMac.
A this point, only the iMac has access to Will's documents on the Mac server. Will's laptop will not have this access; it only has access to the CIT file server.
