In order to calculate view the maximum stress of the simulation click on Add next to Results, and select Calculated Value. In the function , in the Add drop down menu select Calculated Value, change Function to Maximum and under the Variable drop down menu select Equivalent Stress then Evaluate. Very quickly the maximum stress of the stepped shaft is calculated and displayed. to Stress YY.

The table below compares the calculated and simulated values for maximum stress in the stepped shaft. There is a negligible less than 5% difference between the finite element calculation and the simulation result.
