Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Korovi (antigenic formula 138:g,4m,[5],12,[27s]:y:e,n,x–) is a serovar of the O:4 38 (BP) serogroup. This is a very rare serovar; one report in Italy found S. Ball in wild boars and a recent report identified this serovar in black pepper from Hungaryserotype was first identified in 1955 from the Belgian Congo, and has recently been isolated from cassava flour from Uganda.
