Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Korovi (antigenic formula 38:g,m,[s]:–) is a serovar of the O:38 (P) serogroup. This serotype was first identified in 1955 from the Belgian Congo, and has recently been isolated from cassava flour from Uganda.
